Hurricane Evacuation Zone Map
A hurricane evacuation zone is a geographic area that has been identified to protect public safety based on the potential for storm surge. Storm surge is historically the most deadly of all hurricane hazards. If a hurricane evacuation occurs, it will be ordered by Zone (A, B, C,D) as shown on these color-coded maps.

Online Putnam GIS Steps To Determine If Parcel/Residents Is Located In A Hurricane Evacuation Zone
Select the “find an address” feature on the top of the page and enter address in question. Turn off all layers except for “Major Roads” “streets ”“Emergency management” and “evacuation zones.” Pen Legend box and determine if parcel has red, orange, yellow, or purple cross hatching indicating that the parcel is contained within an evacuation zone.
Turn on and off the “2011” aerial” layer as needed to insure verification of residual structure. Cross hatching color is reflective of evacuation zone evacuation zone (A-B-C-D).
